「We have been coming here for about 2-3 years, and the experience has always been below average, though the location is convenient. When our boxer exhibited severe symptoms including vomiting, loss of appetite, excessive water intake, lethargy, and trembling, we sought urgent medical attention. Dr. Ashley performed an examination and ran blood-work tests, finding his calcium level was at the end of the range, among other counts. Despite the seriousness of hypercalcemia in dogs, the initial exam overlooked enlarged lymph nodes, which we ourselves pointed out. Upon re-examination, Dr. Ashley described them as “wobbly,” a vague assessment that lacked further immediate investigation. Our dog was sent home with pain and anti-nausea medication to observe for a few days. Dr. Ashley mentioned she could do a biopsy of the lymph nodes if our dog would let her and suggested imaging if things didn't get better. When we got home, I noticed we were given 200 capsules of pain medication for a few days, when only 32 capsules would have been enough as per the prescription. I can only suspect money-hungry practices and a lack of ethics. The same evening, our dog fell down the stairs as the medication was so strong and making him very drowsy. I called the clinic the next day to report what happened and ask why we were given 200 capsules. I received a message back from Dr. Ashley stating that maybe because he wasn't eating, the meds made him drowsy, and that the dosage was right. This shows how they handle complaints – they will strongly defend their actions even if they are clearly in the wrong. There was no sticker on the medication informing it causes drowsiness, and Dr. Ashley knew he wasn't eating, yet she failed to inform me medication causes drowsiness and didn't prescribe the right dose for his condition. Since our dog was still very sick and trembling, we took him for reassessment the next day to a vet clinic in Mississauga, where his lymph nodes were immediately biopsied. He was diagnosed with aggressive T-Cell lymphoma after his pathology report came back, and we started chemotherapy at the VCA in Oakville the same week. Timely and accurate diagnosis is critical in managing serious illnesses, and the delay we experienced at Chippawa Animal Hospital impacted our dog's care and comfort. We have also experienced multiple unprofessional interactions with front desk staff, both in person and over the phone, where they have been unhelpful, rude, and lacked empathy, especially from the older lady who is superficially complimentary in person while you're paying a high bill, but whose demeanour changes drastically when talked to over the phone the next day. I do not recommend this vet clinic.」
「My English Bulldog had been suffering for years with allergies. The vet we were seeing could not provide her any relief. We tried many things and spent an unfortunate amount of money that never solved any of her problems. After just one visit at Chippawa Animal Hospital, our 5-year-old pup had a complete turnaround. She is playing, running around, and living her best life now! No more constant itching, rashes, infections, and all-day fatigue. All thanks to Chippawa Animal Hospital!」
「My two-year-old tabby named PICKLE had a wellness exam by Dr. Ashley at Chippawa Animal Hospital near Niagara Falls on April 20, 2026. Dr. Ashley had originally tended to Pickle when I got her from the Humane Society a year ago. The cat was very sickly – anorexic, vomiting, and with a serious heart murmur. Dr. Ashley brought her back from the brink of death last year. While Pickle has thrived while in my home, I was concerned the heart murmur might persist. I was delighted when Dr. Ashley announced there was no sign of the murmur, and my furry friend was healthy. The staff at this clinic – from the receptionist to the doctors – are helpful, kind, and skilled at their jobs.」
「Always so friendly, willing to answer any questions you may have. Always willing to recommend tricks and advice. Everyone wants to come sneak a peek at their patients to see how they are doing, how big they've gotten. I can’t say enough how glad we are to have found a great practice.」
「EDIT: In response to my review, I’ve received a cheque in the mail from the clinic for $37.29 for tick removal. I honestly don’t know what to say about that. I’ve decided to cash it and made a donation to a charity. Pic attached. Stay away from those people. Never the greatest service at this clinic. Once, the older receptionist demanded we pay $15 for tick removal when there was no tick, but rather a skin tag on our dog. The tech tried explaining it to her, but she said it didn't matter that there was no tick, as we had taken her time… literally 30 seconds of her time. Staff are also phony and deceptively polite. The place is tiny, old, and needing renovation. With two dog patients at the same time, you have no space. You better go somewhere else.」
「Dr. Ashley is so nice and shows her thorough care for my one-year-old cat, Coal. Everyone that works there is nice too. I highly recommend.」
「I'll be completely honest, I've never been to another vet, but we always had great experience with the whole staff and process, from booking to exams. Would recommend this clinic to anyone!」
「Amazing staff. So caring and understanding. They treat our babies so very well—they really care! Recommend 100%!」
