「I’ve been coming to Dee’s Pets in Marion for years, and I can confidently say it’s hands down my favorite pet store in the area. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about both the animals and their customers. They take the time to answer questions and make great recommendations and I never feel rushed. The store has an awesome variety of supplies and animals, whether you’re shopping for food or supplies. It’s clear they put thought into what they carry. If you’re anywhere near Marion, I can easily recommend Dee’s Pets.」

「A southern Illinois staple! I have frequented this store for over 20 years and will continue to do so. Great renovations, very inviting atmosphere. Love to see it! This is a fine establishment. Whether you are running in for supplies, or bringing the whole family in to spark wonder; This place has it covered. The staff are more knowledgeable than zookeepers I've spoken to in the past, ready and willing to help, and quite passionate about the animals.」

「I love dees and have been coming here for years . They hey have fantastic options when it comes to care for birds fish & reptiles . However the way they care for the animals isn’t right . They have recently upgraded their enclosure and none of the animals have proper lighting , and have super small spaces . We saw one of the frogs was dead in their tank and the worker quickly removed it . The baby tortoises were flipping on their backs in their water bowl and would’ve died had something not been said … I love this place and hate to see animals treated this way . The Python they have on display is so sad 😞. The fancy upgrades aren’t worth when the care of the animals goes down .」

「This place is absolutely horrendous. We came in for a rabbit on Saturday. We were told they were available for purchase before we came. Drove an hour and suddenly they aren’t. They are in quarantine. She (Liz) said they were not and they are in quarantine for 48 hrs. Fine okay we called Monday. They are still in quarantine. Told to call Wednesday. I got a little antsy and called Tuesday. The gentleman told me they were good and out of quarantine and I can come buy them. So we drove an hour again … waited in the store for 30 min before we were told oh they are in quarantine again. Wait till Friday. While we were there they had a separate bunny flopping over and having a seizure. Meanwhile the bunny we wanted in a different cage mysteriously disappeared they guy told me it sold, the girl says it’s in the barn getting ready to croak (in front of my kids) this is outrageous. If these animals were this sick they need to be taken to a vet. We will not be coming back to this place for any animal in the future and will recommend that our friends, family, and acquaintances never shop here for their pet needs. They also need a good class on customer service. Liz told us that she would be right over to help us with our RABBIT… then made us wait for 45 minutes before we were told oh they aren’t for sale. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I feel like I have been on forever circling train with this place since Saturday.」
