Princeton Grooming Claimed

「We had a really disappointing experience at Princeton Grooming. I specifically asked for a long teddy bear cut for my dog with pictures, and what we got back was essentially a full shave that looked nothing like what I had requested. The bigger issue was the lack of communication. If there was any concern about what could or couldn’t be done, I would have expected a call or at least a discussion before making such a drastic change to his coat. Instead, I picked him up without any heads-up that the grooming instructions had not been followed. On top of that, his nails weren’t trimmed either, which was part of the basic grooming request. Overall, it felt like the instructions weren’t followed and there was no communication when changes were made. I understand that grooming can sometimes require adjustments based on the dog’s coat condition, but this should have been communicated clearly in advance. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen here, and the result was very upsetting.I won’t be returning.」

「I rescued a special needs dog, Leo, about five months ago. He came from a situation of severe neglect and had to have both of his eyes removed. He's still learning to navigate the world and to trust people after everything he's been through. While he’s incredibly sweet, he does struggle with fear aggression and is especially sensitive about having his paws touched. I was dreading his first grooming appointment, but his nails had grown too long, and he was slipping on my hardwood floors—I couldn’t put it off any longer. Barry was absolutely incredible. He was patient, compassionate, and completely understanding of Leo’s needs. He handled him with such care and gentleness, and even gave me helpful suggestions to make future visits smoother. Thanks to Barry, Leo is so much more comfortable now—and I left the appointment feeling relieved and reassured. I truly don’t know what I would have done without his kindness and expertise. A true blessing.」

「Barry always does an excellent job with my westie. He only takes in one client at a time and gives the animal his full attention, usually my dog doesn’t like her feet touched but she seems to trust Barry more than me to trim her nails. She always leaves looking sparkly clean and smells great for days after. I would recommend Princeton grooming to any fellow dog owner!」

「I would recommend Barry to any dog owner that is looking for a groomer. Since moving back to the area, we had gone through multiple groomers that were scared to groom one of our dogs because of their anxiety. Each appointment we have had with Barry – he would work with us to get our dog on the right schedule and make him comfortable in the best way. Barry always takes his time and doesn’t rush the process with our dogs since they need breaks during the grooming appointment.」

She has panicked with some other groomers in the past, but Matt kept her calm and now she is looking and feeling much better! He did a great job grooming her and trimming her nails and was super accommodating to my last minute scheduling. I am so pleased with the results and am grateful for his expertise.」
