The Modern Canine – Dog Store & Grooming Claimed

「We had such a wonderful experience with our dog’s haircut! The groomer did an amazing job and was so gentle, patient, and caring throughout the entire process. Our pup came home looking absolutely adorable, clean, fluffy, and so fresh! You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they work with, and we couldn’t be happier with how the haircut turned out. We will definitely be coming back for our next groom! Highly recommend!
Jill has been cutting Ollie’s hair since his very first puppy groom, and now at a year and a half, I can confidently say there’s nowhere else I’d rather take him. She’s skilled, patient, and clearly loves what she does. Ollie always comes back looking perfect. What really sets this place apart is the peace of mind. I never worry when I leave him there. The owners are so friendly and always offer great advice, which I really appreciate. Their storefront is also such a great bonus, with a wide selection of high-quality treats, toys, and other essentials. It’s so convenient having everything in one place. I 100% recommend The Modern Canine to anyone who wants the absolute best care for their pup.
We were lucky to find this boutique through a recommendation. We are new to the area and our sweet Goldendoodle needs to be groomed fairly frequently, but is afraid every time. Dana took amazing care of her, listened to our concerns and what our Maisy likes, and fed her treats throughout to help keep her calm. This was the happiest I’ve ever seen her coming out of a groomer; she bounced out and was wagging and returning to Dana. The owners are also amazing and take the time to get to know you. They are sending me recommendations for dog trainers in the area. Cute store with great variety of products also. Highly recommended!!
I was visiting and my dog needed her nails trimmed. I called several groomers with no response. I tried a chain store that was completely unwilling to work with my dog because she was "too aggressive." I called The Modern Canine in Belle Mead. They called back right away. Erica was very experienced and professional and had no problem with the "aggressive behavior." I highly recommend them. All the dogs looked beautiful when they came out after grooming. 10 stars for them!
I have a long-haired Yorkie, and previously, two groomers refused to work with her because she was very aggressive during grooming sessions. When I brought her to The Modern Canine, it was a miracle from the very first day. They said she behaved well, and they continue to work with her, helping her become a 'good girl.' It’s a wonderful place.」
